For traders
Everything's better with V3 from pricing to routing. And the best part? You don't have to change a thing.
Liquidity is concentrated where the market actually trades, so a V3 swap equals less price movement versus V2. Enjoy lower slippage on major pairs.
Lower slippageSet the price you want and sit back. The order fills when the market reaches your desired price point.
New on KayenFour fee tiers instead of V2's single tier, so stable pairs trade efficiently and volatile pairs fairly pay LPs. The best route is automatically selected for you — and V2 and V3 pools can be combined in a single swap.

V3 provides greater granularity without adding complexity. Move your position to reflect the latest pricing and maximize the fees you earn. Be free with V3, which was built for LPs.
You earn while the price stays within 5% of where it is today.

You earn fees only while the price stays within your selected range. Outside it, your position holds one token and stops earning fees until the price returns to the range.
Five things work differently once your position is on V3. Each one gives you greater control than before.
0.30% on every trade. Same for every pair, no say in it.
You pick from four levels, matched to how much the pair actually moves.
Spread across every price, whether or not anyone trades there.
Wherever you want it — or spread wide, exactly like V2, if you'd rather not think about it.
LP tokens — a plain balance, like any other token.
A position that carries your range and the fees you're owed.
Rolled back into the pool automatically. You see it as your balance growing.
Kept separate, so you can see exactly what you've made. Cash out or reinvest.
Can't happen — you're covering every price anyway.
If you narrowed your range, earning pauses until the price comes back.
For pairs that barely move against each other such as stablecoins. Low risk, so low fees.
Stablecoin pairsFor pairs that track each other closely — CHZ and stCHZ, or a token and its wrapped twin.
Near-identical pairsThe everyday choice for most token pairs — CHZ against a Fan Token, say. Enough to pay you for normal volatility.
Most pairs start hereFor pairs that swing hard or trade rarely. More risk to carry, so you earn more.
Volatile pairsOpen the app, pick the V2 position you want to move and confirm. Here's what happens:
01
One signature, so Kayen can move this position for you. Nothing leaves your wallet yet — you're just unlocking the door.
02
One transaction takes your tokens out of the V2 pool and opens the V3 position in their place. If V3 doesn't have a pool for your pair yet, it gets created right there. Everything moves — any leftover change comes back to you.
03
Optional
Your position arrives wide open, behaving exactly like the V2 one it replaced. Nothing about day one is different. Narrowing it to earn more is a choice you make later, whenever you feel like it.
Permission
One signature. Nothing moves yet.
The move
One transaction, and you're on V3.
Lands wide open
Earning from the first block.
Tighten it
Whenever you want. Or never.
Moving closes your V2 position and opens a V3 one. There's no single undo button — going back means withdrawing from V3 and adding to V2 yourself.
Pair by pair, not all at once — so nothing stops working along the way.
No. Keep using the same app and the same pairs. The router already sends your swap through V3 pools where the price is better — and can split one swap across V2 and V3 if that gets you more.
They're closed out as part of the same transaction. Your two tokens come out of the V2 pool and go straight into the new V3 position — they never sit anywhere in between, and nobody else ever holds them.
No. Everything arrives wide open — the same as your V2 position was. The only thing you choose while moving is the fee level. The range can wait until you feel like it, or forever.
It gets created on the spot. The same transaction sets up the pool at the current market price and opens your position in it. Nothing extra for you to do.
Not if you leave your range wide — that behaves just like V2. Tightening it turns both dials at once: you earn more fees, and you're more exposed when the price moves, in equal measure. It's the same bet placed bigger on a smaller stretch of price. Worth doing deliberately, not by accident.
Earning pauses, and your position ends up sitting in whichever token is now the cheaper one. Nothing is locked and nothing is liquidated. If the price comes back it picks up where it left off — or you move the range to follow it.
Two signatures and the Chiliz gas for them — cents, in practice. Kayen charges nothing to move you, and every fee your V2 position earned up to that moment stays yours.
No — V2 keeps running and your position keeps earning. But trades always go wherever the price is best, and as more liquidity gathers in V3, that's increasingly where the volume goes. The fees follow the volume.
